Victor Meireles, Nampur's CEO, talks about the brand.

Company

Nampur is synonymous with exclusivity and excellence.

Nampur is synonymous with exclusivity and excellence. The dream of gathering friends along the Costa do Descobrimento (Discovery Coast) came to life more than a decade ago, at the top of one of the most enchanting cliff tops in the south of Bahia. Inspired by the local fishermen's houses, the first built residence made way for the dream of a young Victor Meireles, founder of Nampur.

Years earlier, when his parents Adelson de Sousa and Cassia Meireles got married in 1989, Arraial d'Ajuda (BA) became a regular destination for the couple, and as the family grew it also won over the children (Victor has a brother named Gabriel). Over the years, this connection with Bahia has solidified.

The welcoming, happy state and the energy it exudes were crucial for making the decision to build the first house after having stayed, for a long time, in the region's hotels and pousadas (guest houses).

It was at this moment that the family understood the real meaning of "quality of life," and it gave rise to the construction of paradisiacal properties. That simple, yet at the same time complete, "fisherman's house" was the stage for a unique transformation in the unrelenting search for perfection, with attention to details and totally connected with the vision of creating the most exclusive villas in the south of Bahia. There was also already concern about preserving the enchanting nature of the place.

Nampur's prosperous future was already announced with the first of these houses, Villa Greda, which gained global prominence on the cover of the prestigious luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler. Rounded off with Ana Beatriz Barros' flawless beauty in the photoshoot, the magazine gave suggestions for summer breaks and praised the endless blue of the Bahian sea, accompanied by the sophisticated architecture of our property, as well as the region's stunning natural beauty.

The constant evolution of the real-estate market accompanies the mindset of Nampur, which has been collecting not just clients over the years, but friends who bring new meanings, content, truth, and affection to our dream.

Developing these villas and residences demands respect for the culture, local heritage, and environment, leaving a positive impact on the communities—and that is part of our DNA.

You don't need to dream about breathtaking views, perfect beaches, great cuisine, culture, history, and amazing activities. Nampur invites you to experience all of these things. Dynamism, speed, success, fun, but also peace, space, harmony, family and friends, health, and happiness. That's Nampur!

Alongside the best architects and landscapers, respecting the shapes and colors of the local nature, which inspire an authentic lifestyle, unusual projects arise. Carefully selected materials and lots of love are the ingredients for our villas and residences. We have delivered other real-estate gems along the way, true private sanctuaries, synonymous with all the meanings that their owners wish to express. Curating unique and special areas has become a relentless pursuit for the company over the last years. Located in areas with privileged views and easy access to everything of interest, the high-end properties are truly magical.

Community

Every smile and every transformed life brings the feeling of a mission completed, and we are only just beginning.

Social

Praising the south of Bahia, for us, means praising its culture, traditions, and community. For this, we have invested resources and lots of dedication into projects with a social impact.

Our philosophy includes the desire of transformation, merging the past and future without harming the environment and respecting urban development.

Through basic education, we have transformed generations and paved the way for a more beautiful and promising future. Every smile and every transformed life brings the feeling of a mission completed, and we are only just beginning. Gabriela Carioba is the person behind the management of these projects.

Sementes Brilhantes

The Sementes Brilhantes project (which translates literally as Brilliant Seeds), currently attends around 100 children (from 0 to 4 years old) from three community daycare centers in Trancoso and Arraial d'Ajuda, in Bahia.

With the aim of preventing these children from being stuck in front of the television, a circuit of carefully developed and selected toys are used as learning tools.

The activities encourage psychological, motor, and cognitive development through play, based on the internationally certified methodology of the school in São Paulo, Steps Baby Lounge, created by the businesswoman Glaucia Maciel 20 years ago.

Nampur invested to make the project viable, providing courses for the educators of the daycare centers to learn the dynamics, as well as offering boxes to be used in the lesson plans. Nampur was also responsible for developing the online course to train people even more in the methodology.

Escadaria da Santa

The 1st Marian Shrine in Brazil, in Arraial d'Ajuda, underwent complete restoration work, involving the renovation of the sacred fountain, the stairway, and the installation of the viewing platform and deck.

The tourist attraction, popularly known as the Escadaria da Santa, which has received pilgrims in search of miraculous water since 1551, had a new mosaic applied to its 146 steps, walls, and bench, with images and phases which tell the story of the shrine based on research by the artist Gabriel Güyrá.

The project was approved in 2019, but due to lack of funding only began in September 2020. The Adopt a Step campaign, organized by the Arraial do Bem Movement, raised R$270,000 to pay for the labor (builders, carpenters, painters, and joiners). Nampur sponsored the initiative along with other companies.

The Church Bell

The São João Batista Church—known as the Igreja do Quadrado—had its bell reactivated at the end of 2020 having gone 40 years without ringing.

The initiative came from the Bell Recovery Project, of the Bahian Government's Department of Tourism. The destination in the south of Bahia, in Porto Seguro, was the first to receive the initiative outside the capital of Salvador.

For Nampur, responsible for the donation, the chime of the church bell is a mark of development for the entire region of Porto Seguro, which is why it has been investing in enhancing the local history and in the beauty of the Costa do Descobrimento.
