Orsini Landscaping

Projects: Nampur Falésia & Nampur Brisa

Project: Nampur Falésia
Alto da Pitinga, in Arraial d'Ajuda

"We camouflage the houses as much as possible on the ground floor, valuing nature and integrating it into the architecture. We guarantee privacy so the inhabitants can feel comfortable in their homes. We have left the second floor totally open, respecting the view. The landscape is there to offer quality of life."

A regular visitor to Arraial d'Ajuda since the beginning of the 1980s, Luiz Carlos Orsini was there when electricity was first installed and has followed the community's evolution over the past decades. The landscaper from Minas Gerais has already designed a garden at the foot of the hill some years back and is now returning to take in a view that, in his own words, has 200 degrees of sea. During a dream, he had an insight about the potential landscape of the Falésia residence and what could be done on that land to turn it into an oasis.

In addition to the existing sprinkling of coconut palms and trees, like a cashew tree, 300 palms of different species and fruit trees such as acerola (Barbados cherry), pitanga (Brazilian cherry), jaboticaba, amora (mulberry), cashew, jambo (Java apple), cocoa, and lime were planted, creating volume with different textures. "When they enter the condominium, the inhabitant will get a surprise. Because the houses will be inserted in the forest," he says. Known for integrating nature and urbanism, the exuberance of the place made his imagination flow for this unique project. "I'm not someone who repeats formulas. I’m able to personalize everything, that's why none of my projects are the same. Each one has its script, focus, and unique characteristics."

"The challenge was the opposite (to Falésia). In this one, the design is exclusive for each house, trying to integrate all the houses with a range of plant species. Then, working within this range, without being repetitive, but ensuring a unique design for each house."

Luiz Carlos Orsini, landscape architect

Just as each house is different from the next, each one boasts exclusive landscaping. The different topographies and plants ensure each house is unique. A condominium with a longer and more open view where you see the sea from a distance, creating an atmosphere that is beyond pleasant.

Nature, climate, people, and vibe. The village is extremely friendly and well preserved, with options of bars, restaurants, and supermarkets providing infrastructure. "But if you want to be isolated in your home, you also have complete comfort."
